Mahabodhi

After a night at Ladakh Sarai and a city tour, day 2 I was finally at the place I have been waiting for to visit - The Mahabodhi! It was a peaceful place surrounded by the high Himalayan peaks all around (you feel like to summit each one of them).

Mahabodhi home and meditation centre is a house of Buddhist principles, founded by Guruji Sanghsena. We spent a couple of days there, experienced the yoga and meditation sessions.

Meet Major (read 'may') during a walk at Mahabodhi. One of the craziest heads I met in GHE. Her story to cross a sea channel on inflatable crocodiles sets her one side. While being a qualifier for skiing in Olympics sets the other.

Mahabodhi school and hostels house 500+ students from the remote villages of Ladakh. The foundation takes care of their quality upbringing and education (till 10th standard). Since there are no graduation colleges in Ladakh, Mahabodhi also sponsors a few selective students to outside Ladakh for higher education. GHE E-Base is besides the Mahabodhi School.

Meet Ashish, when we just reached Mahabodhi we were anxious to use some Wi-Fi here :P
Ashish was a guy with an attitude:"Be yourself and do not give a damn about your what other people think" which I loved about him.
